Men’s Day Thursdays beginning 6/18

As we emerge from spring and into the heart of our summer golf season, we will start our weekly “league” days.

  • Each week will feature a different format for the “Game of the Week” with a $10 buy in for shop credit.  Formats are subject to change based on participation.
  • All formats are designed to play your own ball for 18-holes with a side game to keep it interesting
  • Play will begin at 9:00 am each week.  12 or more players will make a shotgun start, less than 12 will be tee times.

I would like to introduce you to Shawn Kelly who will be primarily responsible for running the daily play.  Shawn is a PGA Intern from Penn State University and hails from Long Island, NY.  Shawn is very communicative and energetic. Week 1:  June 18th, 2020

Activity: Low Gross/Net (90% handicapped)

Side game-  CTP on #5 & #12

 

Week 2:  June 25th, 2020

Activity: Individual Stableford, points awarded on Net score for each hole. CTP #5 & #16

(Double Bogey 0, Bogey +1, Par +2, Birdie +3, Eagle +5).

With skins to win as the side game.

 

Week 3: July 2nd, 2020

Activity: Blind draw, players will not know who their teammate is until conclusion of the round. Following the round, names will be drawn from a hat. Holes will be predetermined for whose score you will use for each hole. CTP on Hole #5 as well CTP on hole #8

 

Week 4:  July 9th, 2020

Activity: Low Gross/Net

 

Week 5: July 16th, 2020

Blind Draw two-man teams.  Draw will happen before play and pairings adjusted to play as teams.

Side game, longest putt made on hole #3, Closest to pin on #12

 

Week 6:  July 23rd, 2020

The Prospector Kickoff party/practice rounds

 

Week 7:  July 30th, 2020

Activity: Individual Stroke Play, with skins for extra competition.

CTP #5 & #12.

 

Week 8:  August 5th, 2020

Activity: Play with the pro! A golf professional will be randomly selected to participate on each team that is competing. A pro will be on each team in the event. For this even you may choose your partner’s but will not be able to pick the pro.

 

Formats after August 5th will be released as we get later in the summer.
